Definition: Capella is the brightest star in the constellation of Auriga, the charioteer. It is thought to represent the charioteer’s elbow, which can be seen clearly when the imaginary lines and artist’s impression are added to the video. To find it in the night sky, first locate the constellation of Orion, which is easy to spot because of the three distinctive stars that make up the hunter’s belt, and directly above it lies Auriga, as shown in the video. The brightest star at the top right of the constellation is Capella.
