BSL Glossary - Crowded Cottage

Throb, throbbed, throbbing - example

In the summer, I had on short sleeves - well I would have looked stupid wearing long sleeves, so, of course, I was wearing short sleeves. Anyway I was just strolling along, when I suddenly felt something sting my forearm. I had a look, but couldn't see anything, so I thought it must be all right. I forgot all about it and eventually went off to bed. In the morning, when I was stretching myself awake, I felt my arm throbbing and I could see that it was very swollen. I went and bought cream and rubbed it in and eventually the problem disappeared.
