BSL Data Science Glossary - Join - full definition

Definition: Full join means, with two tables, each having a name or ID column, sometimes when you join the two tables, rows in both would need to have the same ID or name values. However, here, with full join, it is different because literally everything from both tables are joined together - it doesn't matter if one has Ben and the other doesn't have a Ben, that still gets joined, and if one doesn't have Sarah and the other has Sarah, that too gets joined. So, absolutely everything from both tables gets joined together.
