BSL Environmental Science Glossary - Cerebrum definition

Definition: The Cerebrum is an area of the brain that controls intelligence, personality, who you are as a person (identity), knowledge and thought. It works at a higher level of functioning, with the ability to use language, whether signed or spoken and visual memory. The cerebrum consists of 2 hemispheres which are highly convoluted, complex and dense, they are fused together so the brain is divided but still joined.
