Definition: A concentrated solar power (CSP) system with thermal storage uses thousands of mirrors in huge concentric circles around a central post to concentrate sunlight to convert into heat storage. They are used in flat areas with lots of strong sunlight like the desert or the plains over a large area. The sunlight reflects off all the mirrors and the concentrated sunlight heats up oil in pipes which hold the heat to be delivered to the power station where it is used to drive a generator to make electricity which is then distributed widely.
