BSL Geography Glossary - Dimensions - definition

Definition: 1 dimension (1D) can be represented by a singular line, for example, a horizontal line and/or a point. 2 dimensions (2D) are represented by an area with two aspects such as width and height, for example, a square. 3 dimensions (3D) are represented by three aspects such as width, height and depth, for example, a cube. Most pictures are 2D as they are flat.
