BSL Geography Glossary - Summit - definition

Definition: The summit is the highest point on a mountain. Every mountain has a summit, no matter what the height of the mountain itself. On a map, a mountain summit is shown as a black or blue triangle with a number next to it. The number shows how high the summit is.
