BSL Maths Glossary - cube root - Definition (symbol ³√)

Subject level: Credit

If we put for example the cube root of 8 what does that equal?
You have to work out what number multiplied by itself twice- such as 2x2x2 - so that is 3 numbers and (when multiplied) they equal eight. So the cube root of 8 is 2.
