This is how you write the term denominator. If I sign 1 over 4 the number below the line, the 4 is the denominator. Let's look at the next one. What is the denominator there? You can see that it is 10. Again the one on the end, the denominator is 17. If I were to write down 3/4 what is the denominator - you can see it's the 4. If I write 5/4 - what is the denominator - you can see that it is the 4.
