BSL Maths Glossary - Even number - Example 1

Subject level: Foundation

Example

Even number let's suppose I have 4 sweets and I want to give them to two people. I would give them 2 each and that would be even. Let's say we had 6; that means there are 3 each that means they had the same. 2, 4, 6, 8 10 - so 10 shared out means 5 each - so that is the same. You can divide 10 by 2. Let's take 6 - that's 3 each so 6 divided by 2 is possible so that's an even number.
