BSL Physics Glossary - angle of refraction - definition

Translation: A ray of light moving from air to water, or into glass, bends or refracts. From the point where it hits the water we can imagine a line straight down at 90 degrees to the surface, called the normal. The angle of refraction is measured from the normal, which is 0 degrees, to the ray of refracted light.
