BSL Physics Glossary - renewable energy - definition

This is energy which comes from the wind, the Sun, water, waves or from plants (biomass), for example. These sources are all renewable, that is they are always there and they don't run out. We always have the wind, so we can continue to use it to make electrical power. There is always water available. We can continue to use these energy sources forever.
