BSL Physics Glossary - space - definition

Maybe you have seen the sign space like this (pointing up). In fact, space has no limits. It is huge. Here on Earth we are part of the solar system. This solar system is just a small part of our galaxy, the Milky Way. The galaxy we are in includes thousands and millions of stars! But there are millions more galaxies. The whole thing is called the Universe. So space goes on forever, it is limitless. Actually the whole of the Universe is slowly expanding all the time.
