BSL Physics Glossary - star - definition

Stars are balls of gases, eg; Hydrogen and Helium gas. Stars produce a massive amount of energy as heat and light. It's a continuous production of energy. Our own star, the Sun, produces heat and light. So do all the other stars. The temperature in the Sun has been calculated to be 15,000,000 degrees C. That's incredibly hot! The other stars are similar.
