BSL Physics Glossary - Sun - definition

We receive light from the Sun. The Sun is our star, at the centre of our Solar System. The Earth and the other planets orbit round the Sun. Inside the Sun, there are gases reacting violently - Hydrogen producing Helium. These reactions produce heat and light. We feel this heat and see the light in daytime here on Earth. This reaction will continue for billions of years into the future.
