British Sign Language Glossaries of Curriculum Terms
The Universe is massive. We are on Earth, part of the Solar System. Our Solar System is part of a galaxy of stars which we call the Milky Way. Our galaxy consists of thousands of stars. There are millions of similar galaxies which make up the Universe. We can't see many of these distant galaxies and stars with our eyes; we need powerful telescopes to observe them. The sign for universe is based on seeing everything in space.
