BSL Glossary - Crowded Cottage

Loud - example

A deaf man was driving along in his car and was aware that a lot of people kept turning round and looking at him. He felt the car vibrating a bit and felt that something was making a loud noise. He went into a garage explained that he was deaf and that there seemed to be a problem with his car. He explained that people kept looking and that something must be really loud. The man from the garage called his colleague over and the two of them had a look at the car. They agreed that there was a very loud noise coming from it and something was wrong. They checked in the engine and found something had come apart - I don't know. Anyway they fixed it and the deaf man was able to drive away peacefully with no one looking at him.
