Early Years: Working with visually impaired children

This course will give the opportunity for in-depth discussion surrounding early years support. Topics covered will include:
- assessment of functional vision;
- strategies to allow full access to the pre-school curriculum within the Curriculum for Excellence;
- supporting children with complex needs in a mainstream placement.
This is an opportunity to speak to the 'experts' and find out about useful strategies to support visually impaired children in the early years.
Target audience: Teachers, other professionals, key workers in early years establishments and parents of children in the early years.
