Practical Support Strategies for Deaf Pupils involved in SQA National Qualifications

Jointly hosted by Scottish Qualifications Authority (SQA) and the Scottish Sensory Centre, this day offered valuable practical guidelines on how to prepare deaf candidates for SQA assessments and examinations. The day included current examples of good practice as well as advice on:

  • SQA's requirements for signing in examinations;
  • preparing candidates for examinations;
  • setting up and using equipment;

The day also included a practical, interactive workshop on filming procedures.
