Look at equipment for children with glue ear.
Always ensure that radio aids are functioning properly during lessons!! Question the children to check quality of sound and understanding of what has been said. Daily auditory memory games.
Aim to make increased use of LIFE/CHILD to improve feedback.
I am more aware of other hearing related issues and will consider them in my work.
Encourage other professionals working one to one to continue to use radio aid system, as this will enhance child's learning.
I can now understand how the acoustic in my room could affect the hearing of children I work with.
Make changes to the physical environment of my class. Find out about available technology.
My overall knowledge and understanding of deafness has increased and therefore will benefit deaf children and their families.
Look at noise levels in class and investigate apps mentioned. Be more aware of children with background/history of glue ear.
I am new to my post as a ToD so, at the moment, everything I learn will support me in my role and in turn the children I work with!
Yes. Be more open to support requests from mild losses. Encourage radio aid use even more in one on one and small group/quiet settings.
