Will spend time reading through PowerPoint and enquire about textbook.
Take time to read over course content again – will review more through legislation.
Consider social care provision within our services – how can we do it better? Use NDCS if issues arise in relation to social care.
I feel I have the knowledge of legislation that will allow me to ask appropriate questions and be able to ask for services.
Rethink idea of signing club at school. Investigate full use of radio aid and microphone.
Lots of reading taken from suggested books and papers.
Breadth of content/activities.
Good mix of theory, discussion and activities.
Thought that the way legislation was discussed was really helpful. Great discussion - valued hearing different people's perspectives.
Chance to hear others' experiences & the presenter's knowledge in this specific area.
Presenter's obvious depth of knowledge.
The content - encapsulated the multiple complexities involved in working with deaf children. Excellent to have these complex cases discussed with peers as in framework of law.
Loads of interesting case studies.
Exploring all the challenges for the child, families and education.
Good mix of talk versus group discussion. Interesting examples used as discussion points.
More time - discuss issues further (2 day course?)
Nothing. Very helpful.
Maybe delivered the legal etc. material earlier in the day.
