Clarity of presentation

Pacing of course/event

What was best about the course/event?

Question and Answer sessions which brought clarity to some concerns re National 3 & 4.
Clear and well structured.
Clarification of courses and implications for supporting deaf pupils.
Clarification of new exam arrangements.
Speakers gave clear overview of their area. Got to meet other HI professionals to share ideas/stories and experiences.
The overview was helpful as were the discussions coming from each presentation.
Interested to hear about wider achievement awards.
Although it was a very interesting day it was the last part that I was keen to know – not your fault. I found the wider achievements part useful.
Information about new courses about which, as a relatively new worker in Scotland, I had only scant knowledge.
Presentation handouts/leaflets. Opportunity to ask questions.
Lots of opportunities to have questions answered. Presenters were very knowledgeable.
Very informative about current changes taking place at this point in time. Very relevant to my post at present.
The appreciation of the presenters that there was much to learn/understand about the new qualifications.
Useful information re new qualifications.
Clear, succinct info.

What, if anything, could have been improved about the course?

Very disappointed that the afternoon session on exam arrangements was cancelled at short notice.
Not cancelling Assessment arrangements at, literally, the last minute! Why did we have to pay for this training (ie our Authorities) when mainstream class teachers did not?
Would have liked to learn more about S1/S2 qualification system.
Information about S1/S2 qualifications.
Would like to have had input on S1 & S2 as pm programme not delivered as planned. Disappointed in pm programme.
Possibly a presentation on examples of how to assess and some advice on the arrangements.
Disappointed that we didn't have the full aftermath session.
Could you send any assessment info to my email?
More focus on the needs of deaf and VI pupils and how the course linked to them.
Better arrangements/communication.
One speaker dropped out. Late in starting.
Disappointing that speaker was unable to attend for S1 & S2 awards.
Maybe more discussion on VI arrangements and any changes that will be necessary with the new qualifications.
Needed specific information re new qualifications and pupils with a hearing loss.
AM session with a greater ASN/sensory impaired students' focus and details of verification of course materials (N4) and external assessment (N5) for our HI/VI pupils.
Desk/tables to enable notetaking.
I'm afraid the course didn't fulfil the brief for me, as a ToD - my interest was in alternative assessment arrangements. The course was too general - most of the attendees were ToDs/VI specialists who were interested in alternative assessment arrangements rather than presenting.
