Lots of things!
No, very interesting.
Re-motivated!
Share current/updated legislation with management team/colleagues with school re ASL.
Have greater awareness of rights of child.
Share new information with my colleagues at the Sensory Education Service.
Feel more confident in advising parents of their rights in education/benefits.
Be more informed on how/when CSP can be employed.
Be able to inform colleagues and parents more confidently.
Different venues and closer to Glasgow or west of Scotland.
Find out more: Use Enquire and stay up to date.
Have improved knowledge of where to go to get help when issues re entitlement to benefits arise.
Look at suggested websites and do some reading!

Meeting professionals and parents.
Meeting people.
Clear and well delivered and useful content.
Legislation. Input from Enquire.
It was in Aberdeen.
Advice on who to contact and procedures.
Very good handouts. Good slides to refer back to.
Info about DLA. Info about 'pupil voice' legislation (new).
More awareness of legislation.
Being brought up to date with current rights for the young children and students.

What, if anything, could have been improved about the course?

Longer - more ask/question opportunities.
Less time with the slides and more discussion, could benefit from case studies. Could be more interactive.
More opportunity for discussion in the first section - update on current legislation. Pacing moved quite quickly.
Course was rushed and maybe needed more time for each subject (extra 15-30 minutes).
Benefits advice printed out or on screen, but aware will be forwarded on.

What other CPD training would you like the SSC to provide?

Some habilitation training.
Things related to VI, including communication.
Habilitation introduction for rehab workers.
VI HI legislation and protocols and procedures for peripatetic teachers.
How peripatetic teams support VI/HI children. Best practice, policies, etc. How peripatetic teams support blind children in mainstream.
SNSA sharing of good practice.
VI assessment.
