How will you use what you have learned today?

To make better resources and to enable children to be even more independent.
Small presentation to department. Share new knowledge and resources with relevant staff.
I will be able to use what I have learned today in my everyday practice with the child.
I will use this information in my post as a Peripatetic Pupil support Assistant to support visually impaired pupils.
More aware and feed back to support staff.
To disseminate ideas to support staff/teachers to help raise their awareness of how VI can affect pupil's ability to access the curriculum fully.
Using different types of resources. Experiment with visual aids.

What was best about the course/event?

Seeing all the different resources Practising with no vision.
All very informative. Delivery.
Discussions about all VI and experiencing how they feel with using the glasses.
I enjoyed learning about all of the different adaptions that can be put in place for visually impaired pupils.
How vision develops.
Mixture of theory and practical. For me the adaptation of resources to enhance pupil's learning experiences.
How we all see things different.

Very happy with it all.
