How will you use what you have learned today?

Will feed back to colleagues about the process. (5)
Begin to use GTCS method of recording professional learning.
Today's course will have a very practical impact in that I have had to consider areas I would like to focus on in my own CPD programme.
Start GTC update.
More confident in using the new procedure for the GTC professional update.
Will help me in planning what areas to focus on for my CPD and how to plan for collecting evidence to show the impact of what I have learned.
Feel more confident about what professional update means for me, and how to record everything.
Ensure I approach professional update starting from my PRD meeting and I will work on my reflection and gathering of impact evidence.
Log on to my GTCS and start completing journal.
It will help me when completing the GTCS professional update - enhance what I will be able to put in. It will help me focus.
Use the sheets to help complete my record on the system. Not worry about providing 'evidence'.
Starting thinking about what sort of evidence can be collected to show impact.
This morning was very informative and I am much clearer now about the whole professional update process. Very balanced overview of what I need to do and think about.
In my present employ for CPD/PRD purposes.

How would you rate the following: Excellent = 1; Poor = 5

Clarity of presentation

1.55

Pacing of course/event

1.5

What was best about the course/event?

Dispelling myths and making the process clearer. (2)
Specific deaf/VI input.
I have a better understanding of Professional Update. Not quite so anxious about starting this!! (3)
I was reassured that the process should be of great benefit personally (professionally) and on its impact on teaching and learning.
Clear material/discussion with participants.
Meeting colleagues and discussing issues and concerns with them.
Really made me think about how to collect evidence to show what I have learned and will learn in my professional development.
Completing examples, matching to standards.
Relating it to own practice. Very helpful to have the draft competencies - link to standards given out in the afternoon.
Really good pace and presenters.
Main overview of GTCS new online recording.
Learning more about the standards and linking to HI competencies.
Clarification.
Networking.

What, if anything, could have been improved about the course?

More examples of completed PRD connected to strands.
First set of photocopying. Don't waste paper on PP's that cannot be seen when printed.(3)
If we could have accessed a computer and had a practical demo! More examples of filling in online system.(3)
First session needed a very short break. (2)
Have the standards printed out in a way it was easier to read (upside down print out). Explanation of 'choosing' 2 threads not clear - especially if you are not familiar with the standards. I thought there'd be more about how as VI teachers we can fit into the "system" for recording, which is not designed for peripatetic teachers.
First speaker to have timed it to deliver all herself, plus a short break rather than a later start.
