What do we mean by Visual Impairment?[For non-specialist teachers and support workers to raise awareness - can be offered on outreach basis]
Presented on Thursday 22 January 2009
This course investigated how vision differs from eyesight, what we use vision for, and how visual impairment may affect a child's development. Participants had the opportunity to carry out activities wearing simulated spectacles and considered how these activities can be made more accessible to visually impaired learners.
Target Audience: professionals, non-specialist teachers and support workers and parents, etc, with little knowledge of visual impairment.
