An Introduction to the Barraga Visual Efficiency Program – Taster Session

Presented on Tuesday, 23rd January 2024

Content

The Barraga Visual Efficiency Program (BVEP) provides information and materials to evaluate needs and to design instruction to maximize use of available vision. The information and materials in this programme assess the needs of learners with low vision who have ocular impairments. It may also be useful for learners who have, or are suspected to have, Cerebral Visual Impairment.

This short 30 minute taster session gave a brief overview of the assessment materials and the sections of the guidebook.

Local authorities may wish to arrange a longer training session that will then allow them to borrow the kit from SSC or purchase the materials from APH.
