Specification 4: Modern Languages & Gaelic Learners

This again reflects existing practice, we never allowed candidates to have human scribes in the writing components. Those components of Modern Languages and Gaidhlig/Gaelic (Learners), where candidates are explicitly assessed in writing again with technical accuracy, being able to spell the foreign words. You cannot have a human scribe or voice recognition technology because it is the candidate's spelling that is being assessed.
