Secondary Focus Day - Transition process for deaf school leavers

The aim of this day was to look at the transition process, experienced by deaf school leavers in Glasgow and South Lanark.
There was a session from a representative of the SQA discussing the new exam structure. There was also presentations to look at what support is available for deaf school leavers to help them into the world of work. Topics included:
- Transition experience for deaf school leavers
- SQA - new exam
- Supporting deaf school leavers into employment
- STUC - Employment Rights and responsibilities
Target Audience: Teachers, parents and all those working and supporting deaf young people in secondary schools.
