This workshop was a one-day condensed version of the established two day course run annually at the University of Southampton.

The course provided information about remote microphone systems, fitting them, checking and assessing their benefit in line with the latest national Quality Standards and Good Practice Guidance.

The course covered the following -

• Presentations:
  • Fitting, verification and validation of remote microphone systems (RMS)
  • Validation with speech perception tests
• Hands-on workshops and group sessions:
  • Verification of speech processors with remote microphones
