This course gave participants an opportunity to 'get the whole picture' about a child's vision: the cause of the visual impairment and how this affects the functional vision of the child explained by the Ophthalmologist in easy to understand terminology. Then experienced teachers gave an overview of vision assessments they use and they also discussed useful strategies to support VI children and young people.
Target audience: Teachers of VI children, classroom teachers and support staff, other professionals and parents.
