Well did you fall off your chair?
I bet you were surprised when you actually discovered what the end, the punchline was! We've shown this tape to a lot of hearing people, who don't know sign language and often they can get a lot of the information, often they understand that he's talking about a motorbike and other bits of information, (but) that they rarely actually understand what's happened at the end.
Now we're going to look at another piece of British sign language. This time Clark is talking about his holiday. We want you to try and make use of any visual information you can. Perhaps you've got some ideas from the way that Gerry was discussing Clive's joke. You'll realize some of the points that were important. Obviously you can get clues from Clark's face, his body, just from the way he makes the signs. So have a look and see what you can get from it.
