Bilingual Glossaries
Wednesday 23 June 2006
Content
The opportunity for pupils to fully access SQA examinations though British Sign Language (BSL) has given further impetus to the need to develop standardised BSL English translations of terminology in a variety of subjects. This day will provide the chance to review developments. Also, the pilot online glossary of SQA Maths terms, developed by Dr Mary Brennan, in collaboration with Gerry Hughes, Margaret Ward and Jo Ross, will provide an exemplar of progress within Scotland.
Presenters: Gerry Hughes, St Vincent’s School for the Deaf
