An Introduction to Sensory Integration: understanding and supporting children's motor and sensory development

Presented on Tuesday, 26th February 2019

Content

This course was a day of learning about Neuro-typical sensory/motor development and the challenges that children and young people face when the sensory systems are not integrated fully for a variety of reasons.

Participants had the opportunity to experience what it feels like (physically and emotionally) to move through the world with some of these challenges - or at least a small glimpse of how it feels.

Susan discussed a variety of strategies and introduced a tool to identify the reason for the sensory challenges at home/school/community and to empower participants to implement an appropriate strategy.

Participants said:

"A really well paced and interesting course."
