BSL Chemistry Glossary - chemical reaction - Laboratory experiment

In this video I'm going to show you a 'chemical reaction', the 'product' and the 'reactants'.

The reactants are the two things in front of me - watch what happens when I put them together.

The first one is sugar and the other one is a strong acid.

What we have now in the beaker is the 'product' which is the result of the reaction between the sugar and the acid.

As you can see the substance in the beaker has now turned black - this is the 'product'.
