BSL Chemistry Glossary - particle - Definition

Particles are incredibly small - an atom is a particle, so is a compound or a molecule. Inside the nucleus of the atom there are protons which are also particles - particles are infinitesimally small.

They are found in the air and we feel them when they touch our skin but they can also be solid or liquid - particles exist all around us.
