BSL Data Science Glossary - Data manipulation definition

Definition: Data manipulation. You have got lots of data. It may not make sense as it is all in a bit of a mess. What you can do is to manipulate the data, such as aggregating, reordering columns and rows, do grouping, selection, filtering, appending tables, do deduplication, pivoting, table joining (left, right, inner and outer) and so on. So that is data manipulation.
