BSL Environmental Science Glossary - Biological corridor definition

Definition: Biological Corridors are important because they allow species to move from one habitat to another. Without these corridors, creatures would be exposed and vulnerable to predators. Here in the UK, farm fields are surrounded by hedgerows - these act as biological corridors and enable mice, small birds, snakes and spiders to move safely from one place to another.
