BSL Environmental Science Glossary - Primary fuel definition

Definition: Primary fuels are fuels that are extracted from source for use as is, like coal can be extracted from rock, the same as oil. It is harder to use primary fuels straight from source to convert into energy directly before processing, however they are easy to extract.
