BSL Environmental Science Glossary - Rewilding definition

Definition: Human influence has sometimes resulted in the destruction of habitats which has meant that the species that lived there have been lost. The aim of rewilding is to end human interference and give these habitats time to regrow naturally. We can support this process by reintroducing formally native species back into these habitats.
