BSL Environmental Science Glossary - Urea sprays definition

Definition: A method where carbon dioxide and nitrogen oxides are removed from emissions using urea sprays. Urea sprays are used in coal-fired power stations which produce a lot of polluting nitrogen oxides, they trap the oxides so that less is released into the air.
