Cold Water Coral look like plants but they are, in fact, animals. They grow very slowly and create these branch-like structures that are made of Calcium Carbonate. Cold Water Coral live deep in the ocean where it's dark, at temperatures between 14°C and 12°C. From the tip of the stem, they filter feed on Plankton and Zooplankton which are carried along by the currents, they also eat small crabs and shrimps.
