BSL Marine Glossary - Dwarf Eelgrass (Zostera noltii) - definition

Translation:

Zostera Noltii is a member of the Seagrass family. This variety is smaller and reaches 6-22cm in height. Preferring shallow waters, it grows in and around the intertidal zone forming lush meadows which are good for fish and the other living things that move amongst it. Zostera Noltii has thin, ribbon shaped, green leaves that have a hook on the end. Both male and female flowers produce white seeds. The plant then spreads via a creeping Rhizome.
