BSL Marine Species Glossary - Shore crab - definition

Translation:

Rebecca: Wow! What have we got here? It's a Green Crab. I can tell it's a male because it has a triangle shape on the underside; the females have a circle. We have to be careful, he has very sharp claws, so hold on to him tightly.

Audrey: How many legs does he have?

Rebecca: (counting) Ten.

Audrey: Look at his eyes, they're on stalks... he's trying to nip me. Should I put him back? ... Bye!

Rebecca: Do you remember the crab we saw earlier? This one is a juvenile - smaller and faster!

Audrey: It's walking sideways (drops it) Arghhh!

... He's trying to nip me!

Rebecca: This another Green Crab, again it's a male because it has a triangle on the underside and it's bigger than the previous one. He's trying to bite so we need to be careful!

... (underwater) ... See how it's walking - you'd think they'd be quite slow but they move quickly and sideways.
