BSL Marine Species Glossary - Walrus - definition

Translation:

Walruses are marine mammals that live in the sea. They are large creatures with four flippers, long tusks, and sensitive whiskers. Inside their bodies, walruses have a thick layer of fat to keep them warm and provide energy in the Arctic conditions where they live. When they swim and dive, they rotate as they search for food (primarily molluscs). On the surface, they rest on rocks and sometimes on boats (much to people's annoyance!).
