I will use this to help those children I teach on how to use Braille.
To support the children I am working with on a day to day basis, lots of pre-braille skills at the moment but really helpful now to have the basic skills to support more.
To support a pupil's learning within class.
I will use it on a daily basis to support my blind pupil who is learning braille.

Learning the Braille to get a better understanding on how blind people read.
Flexibility to learn at own pace and feeling a sense of achievement once I could actually understand braille and use brailler – amazing!
Having opportunity to learn braille so as to support a pupil in class.
Discovering braille coding.
Nothing.
I think it was perfect. If anything maybe a clearer explanation or video about setting up brailler – spacing, etc.
Explanations about how to set up margins, indentations and space between parts.
None.
I was lucky as colleagues were able to keep me right. And I hadn't really noticed that my brailler was not great until I got a shot of another one for my exam – good brailler make a huge difference.
This course was delivered through distance learning - did you find this a good arrangement or would you have preferred a different mode of delivery? Please comment either way.
Yes, it helped to manage time instead of going into a classroom.
Distance was good – easier than I thought before I started but once I got into it, it was fine.
Found it a good arrangement as it fitted in with day-to-day life.
Yes, it was a good arrangement.
