Join Paragon and Live Music Now Scotland to explore inclusive approaches to music-making with children and young people with additional support needs.

In this joint session, Paragon and Live Music Now Scotland will share practical insights from their work with disabled children and young people in schools and community settings.

Together, we'll explore inclusive approaches to music-making, examples of how music can be used to support participation and engagement, and the different ways specialist music organisations can work in partnership with schools and in communities.

We'll also highlight progression routes for young people with an interest in music, from creative participation through to further training and potential career pathways, helping educators better understand the opportunities available beyond school.

Paragon is an inclusive arts charity dedicated to inspiring disabled and neurodivergent people through music, dance and creativity. We provide accessible, person-centred opportunities that build confidence, connection and wellbeing. Through one-to-one mentoring programmes and group workshops, we produce nurturing environments whereby participants devise, develop and perform their own new artistic work.

Live Music Now Scotland is a charity that brings high-quality live music to people who would not otherwise have access to it, using music as a tool for connection, communication and wellbeing. We also support emerging professional musicians through training, mentoring and paid performance opportunities. Each year, over 135 musicians deliver more than 1,200 participatory performances and workshops in communities across Scotland.
