The purpose of this weekend to develop BSL skills in a social context. The programme is suitable for BSL users of a skill level approximating to CACDP Level 2. The weekend will begin with an informal welcome reception followed by dinner and entertainment. The Saturday programme will involve group activities of choice, such as: a historical walking tour of Edinburgh, museum visit, a trip to the zoo, hill walking at Arthur’s Seat. Saturday evening will include dinner at an Edinburgh restaurant and the programme will conclude after breakfast on the Sunday morning. Instructional activities will be integrated into the programme and supervised by advanced BSL users. BSL will be the sole mode of communication for the weekend. Accommodation will be provided at the University of Edinburgh student residences at Pollock Halls. Most meals over the weekend will be included in the cost of the package.
The event will be of immense value (and fun) to those wishing to improve their BSL skills in a social setting.
