Translation: A recommender system is designed to suggest items that an individual is likely to find relevant or appealing, such as what to watch next or what to purchase. When a television service suggests a film that aligns with your interests, that behaviour may be the result of a recommender system. Similarly, when you see an advertisement for a product that appears useful to you, it is often driven by the same type of system. A recommender system operates by analysing previous choices and preferences, such as the films you have watched, items you have purchased, and other content you have viewed. It then compares these patterns with those of other users who exhibit similar behaviours. Based on these similarities, the system estimates what you are most likely to prefer and generates recommendations accordingly.
