One of these glass jars is much heavier than the other - this is to do with this term 'Mole'. The definition of a Mole is the formula mass in grams.
If we look at the Periodic Table all the different elements have their own Mass Number, in the case of Magnesium (this jar here) that number is 24.312g and that is for just one Mole. If we look much further down at the larger elements on the Periodic Table one Mole of Lead (Pb) is 207.19g. Both of these jars contain just one Mole of each element.
We can find the number of grams (per Mole) of an element by looking at the Periodic Table. The Lead in this jar is much heavier than the Magnesium.
